Every painting commissioned is painted in Australia by local artist Kate Sharples. Kate only accepts a small number of paintings a year so she can give her complete attention to each piece.

How it works...

Step Zero: Purchase or e-mail about a commission.

• If you purchase your painting using our Paypal 'Buy Now' buttons please also message me explaining what you want and be sure to give me a phone number or e-mail address you check regually so I can get in contact with you about your painting!
• If you wish to use another payment methord or pay the painting off slowly us the contact form found here.

Step One: Send me a photo!

• A clear, sharp photo where you can see the fur works wonders
• Make sure the pet in question is looking his best, how they look in the photo is how they will look in the painting!
• Live locally (Melbourne Australia) and can't get the perfect shot? Give me a call and I might be able to come out for a photography session at no extra cost. *

Step Two: Outlines sketched and sent for approval.

• Once the deposit is paid (50% of total amount)
• I will create an outline of the image which is to be painted Including any backgrounds for your approval
• Either the simple backgrounds included in the standard paintings price or if you wish it something more complicated such as the background in the photo or even from another photo all together!

Step Three: Painting the Painting!

• From time to time I may send through progress shots of your painting but keep in mind my paintings often won't come to life until the final 10% of work!
• Once the painting is completed I will e-mail (or snail-mail) a photo to you for your approval. Minor changes can be made at this stage.
• Now that you're happy with your new piece of art the remaining payment is to be made then you can come pick it up! Or alternatively if you live a busy life style or just to far away I can arrange to either drop it off or have it shipped to you. Read for more information.

 

Framing

Framing can be arranged at buyers expense.
